This section includes information on how to contact the school Careers Adviser and what help you can get with planning your career.
There is also information on what jobs and courses you can do after leaving school and how to get into these. If you are not sure what you would like to do after leaving school there is information on how to get guidance and help with making a good decision.
If you would like to arrange a careers interview, and you are in S4, S5 or S6, please ask in the LRC for an interview request card and fill this in. Julia will then allocate an interview time and give an appointment card to your Registration Teacher.
Some pupils may be chosen to be part of a careers programme called Activate. This is designed to give extra help to get school-leavers into work, college or training. The Careers Adviser who runs this group in St Modan’s High School is Susan McCurry.

Skills Development Scotland is the new organisation running careers services in schools throughout Scotland.
