The PTA is an important part of our St Modan’s School Community and provides excellent opportunities for all parents, staff and others to support the school in a very practical manner. This year the PTA chair is Mr Tony Walker.

The PTA organises social events such as our School Summer Fete, Bingo Teas, Quizzes and much more. We are always looking for new events and opportunities so please feel free to come along or get in touch if you have some ideas.
The PTA help support the school by being ‘front of house’ at school events and makes an enormous contribution towards building our community through social events and the funding of clubs and other activities for our young people. Last session alone the PTA made huge contributions towards outdoor benches, football and other after-school activities. Already this year they have supported the school in rewarding pupils as part of our recently launched ‘Get Raffled’ scheme to reward excellent behaviour, helped fund an S3 War Memorial designed through English and provided financial support to pupils in need.
Every year the PTA presents an award to a pupil who displays the values we all strive for in St Modan’s. This award is presented at our Annual Awards Ceremony.
The PTA also raises funds purely to have the finances necessary to support our young people and allow ALL pupils, regardless of their personal circumstances, to have the same opportunity to participate in the rich and varied life of St Modan’s High School. Parents, staff and school supporters have the opportunity to take part in our Annual PTA Prize Draw at Christmas each year – a hugely successful venture involving all families and our local parishes and employers.
Over the last two sessions our PTA has donated over £5000 to numerous school trips, clubs and events. We have bought new strips, sports equipment and helped with running costs. We have subsidised trips to theatres and other cultural events. We have provided audio-visual and IT equipment for pupil use in school along with a number of conference tables. This was only possible due to your generosity, which is much appreciated.
