| Performing Skills | Pupils will study two different instruments over the year. They will practise a variety of pieces preparing for a final exam. |
| Understanding Music | Pupils will study a variety of topics, learning new musical concepts and researching different genres of music. |
| Composing Skills | Pupils will compose music in different genres throughout the year creating a folio of work. |
Exam
Performance Exam: An 8 minute performance exam of minimum Grade 4 standard on two instruments.
Understanding Music: A question paper where candidates answer questions based on different excerpts of music.
