Having Trouble Paying for Uniforms?

Apply for a Footwear and Clothing Grant

If you didn’t get a grant for your child last year, you will need to fill in an application form. Stirling Council will send you a form before the end of June if you were paid a grant in the previous school session.

Applications for a Footwear and Clothing Grant are accepted up to 31 December. A payment will be sent, direct to your bank account, of up to £50 per child if you meet the qualifying conditions.

Income Support or Job Seekers Allowance (Income Based), or Employment Support Allowance (Income Related) or Support under part V1 of the Immigrations and Asylum Act 1999, or Universal Credit. YES YES
Child Tax Credit, but not Working Tax Credit and your gross annual income is below £16,105 (as assessed on your Tax Credit Award letter from HM Revenues & Customs for 2015/16) YES YES
Child Tax credit and Working Tax Credit and your gross annual income is below £16,105 (as assessed on your Tax Credit Award letter from HM Revenues & Customs for 2015/16) YES Only if your income is below £6,420
