The Autism Provision’s Tiny Farm Plan

Voting in Tesco stores throughout the Stirling area has now closed.  Many, many thanks to all who voted for us.  The results will not be announced until December so watch this space!

Our plan, ‘Growing Together’, aims to work with other Additional Support Units within local schools to create and manage a tiny farm. The produce harvested (eventually) will be donated to the Start Up Stirling Food Bank and The Sunlite Café.

From Tesco –
“Tesco has teamed up with Groundwork on its Bags of Help initiative across Scotland. The scheme will see three community groups and projects awarded grants of £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000 – all raised from the 5p bag charge. Greenspace Scotland are working with Groundwork to support Scottish communities.
Bags of Help offers community groups and projects in each of Tesco’s regions across the UK a share of revenue generated from the 5p bag charge levied on single-use carrier bags.
The public will now vote in store from 31 October to 13 November on who should receive £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000 awards. In total, there is over £12.5 million up for grabs!”

We were thrilled to reach this stage in Tesco’s Bags of Help Scheme and we are really looking forward to our ‘Growing Together’ project.
